I’m drawn to understanding how people, places, and systems come together to shape everyday life. My work spans local government, visual storytelling, photography, and travel, often overlapping in ways that reflect curiosity rather than a single discipline. Serving in city government has given me a close view of how communities function, where they succeed, and where thoughtful attention can make a difference. That perspective naturally carries into how I document people, landscapes, and shared experiences.

Photography and storytelling allow me to slow down and observe, whether I’m capturing community life in Hiawatha or spending time in national parks and unfamiliar places. I’m especially interested in moments that reveal character, responsibility, and connection, both in people and in the environments they inhabit. Travel and adventure play an important role in that process, offering contrast, scale, and perspective. This site brings those threads together as a record of what I notice, value, and continue to explore.
