Photographing the Hiawatha Fire Department has become one of the most meaningful parts of my work. I’m drawn to the way the team operates together, the quiet coordination behind the scenes, and the moments of focus that most people never see. Each call, training, or event offers a different perspective on how preparation, trust, and experience come together in real time. Being able to document that work and gain a closer understanding of how they serve the community is something I genuinely care about and continue to find compelling.
